Saira Roxana O. Williams known as Roxy Williams is from the Atlantic coast of Nicaragua. She speaks Miskito, Spanish and English. She is passionate about science and technology. Roxy loves to do volunteering and she believes in inclusion not in discrimination. She’s studying computer science at Texas Tech University - CR. Roxy was part of an aerospace camp from the university of Costa Rica where she could meet scientists from NASA such as Dr. Sandra Cauffman. Roxy has develop her skills in STEM in different activities such as being part as teaching assistant in CS50x, a model of course from Harvard University - David J. Malan, she was a mentor in a Hackathon of Satellite technology, she was an speaker in the 1st Central American Space Generation workshop and she was selected to get mentoring sessions by a certified mentor from Vital voices for the program Huellas de Tigre. Roxy consider herself as a young resilient woman, who never gives up even when it seems like she’s give up. Finally, Roxy wants to be remember as a young indigenous woman who left her community in order to get education and nowadays she’s developing space technology and she has a program of technology education in her community with her brother.
